Viguiera parishii (Goldeneye)

Shrub

This evergreen perennial is native to much of the southwest and into Mexico at elevations from 1000 to 3500 feet. It forms a dense rounded mound of medium green, rough-textured leaves. In the spring yellow daisy-like flowers rise above the foliage. Plant in full sun and in well-drained soils. Cut back annually to maintain a more compact form.
