Tetraneuris acaulis (Angelita Daisy, Four Nerve Daisy, Perky Sue)

Perennial

This perennial is native to rocky slopes and dry mesas across the Southwest, at elevations from 4000 to 7000 feet. It forms a compact, dense mound of slender green grass-like leaves. Golden daisy-like blossoms perch above the foliage on tall, leafless stems during the warm months. Plants will bloom nearly year-round in lower elevation sites. Plant in full sun and well-drained soil. Shear off dried seed heads periodically to initiate new flower production. It can reseed in the landscape.
