Salvia leucantha (Mexican Bush Sage)

Shrub

This Mexican native has narrow, aromatic gray-green leaves with wooly white undersides. The velvety purple flower spikes produced during the spring and summer attract hummingbirds. Plant in filtered sun and provide moderate irrigation in the summer. Prune to the ground in early spring to remove frost-damaged foliage and encourage fresh growth.
