*This plant is not currently in production, but the page is preserved for informational purposes.

This fast growing vine has lush, heart-shaped green leaves to 4 inches long by 3 inches wide. The stems climb by tendrils which wrap around trellises or other support. Long sprays of hot pink to red flowers appear in the summer and fall. Native to Baja California and western Mexico, it is commonly found in arroyos and canyons. The herbaceous stems are usually deciduous, and may be cut to the ground in the winter. In cold regions the roots may be mulched for frost protection.
