Acacia stenophylla (Shoestring Acacia)

Tree

This fast-growing, thornless evergreen Australian tree produces long, willowy phyllodes that resemble shoestrings dangling in the wind. Creamy white puffball flowers are produced in early spring, followed by long bean-like pods. This plant is extremely drought tolerant and thrives in full sun and reflected heat. It produces quite a bit of litter and has a tendency to reseed if moisture is available.
