As Mountain States Wholesale Nursery celebrates over 50 years of growing and selling plants, we extend our gratitude to all who have encouraged and supported us through the years. It has been most fulfilling to see the progressive increase of previously unused desert plants in beautiful landscapes throughout the Southwest. These projects range from simple private gardens, to roadway enhancement, to residential subdivisions, to large scale commercial developments, all recognizing the desert as a great source of beauty and diversity.
The use of desert adapted plants as landscape materials has evolved from our selection of robust natives, serving to anchor difficult, demanding revegetation sites, to an ongoing search for color, texture, and variety. Our plant choices have broadened to include hues and forms which far surpassed our earliest hopes of adding beauty and refinement to already proven durability.
This evolution has progressed on many fronts, and established a foundation for greater appreciation and acceptance of desert adapted plants. Through the combined efforts of countless growers, landscape architects and contractors, individuals, and organizations, the pleasure of landscaping with this diverse palette continues to expand and grow.
To assist in this process, Mountain States Wholesale Nursery offers a wide variety of desert adapted trees, shrubs, ornamental grasses, accents, flowering perennials, groundcovers, and vines. We specialize in growing landscape plants that combine beauty and water economy. It is our ongoing mission to provide the highest quality plants, allowing the fulfillment of design concepts that reflect the true spirit and beauty of the desert. We cordially invite our wholesale customers to visit our nursery, and explore our large inventory of landscape plants collected from the deserts of the world.
